On-Vehicle Inspection
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
2. Oil Control Valve (Bank 2):
REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
3. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE RESISTANCE
a. Disconnect the oil control valve connectors.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance: 6.9-7.9 Ohm at 20 °C (68°F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the valve.
c. Reconnect the oil control valve connectors.
4. Oil Control Valve (Bank 2):
REINSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
5. REINSTALL V-BANK COVER
