Removal and Installation

RADIATOR

COMPONENTS:

REMOVAL
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO. 1
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 2
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET
6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 1
7. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
8. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
9. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER INLET TUBE NO. 1
10. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE NO. 1

11. SEPARATE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screw drive, remove the cap.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and separate the hood lock.

12. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
a. Remove the bolt and separate the suction tube bracket.
b. Disconnect the horn connectors.
c. Remove the 5 bolts and the radiator upper support.

13. REMOVE FAN SHROUD
a. Disconnect the engine coolant reservoir hose.
b. Disconnect the fan motor connectors.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and the fan shroud.

14. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and the radiator support upper LH.

15. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and the radiator support upper RH.

16. REMOVE No. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Lift radiator, then remove it.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
2. ADJUST RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
4. INSTALL FAN SHROUD
Torque: 13.5 Nm (138 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
a. Install the 5 bolts and the radiator upper support.

NOTICE: Secure the member with retaining claws of the radiator upper support.

Torque: 7.8 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 inch lbs.)
b. Connect the horn connector.
c. Install the suction tube bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft. lbs.)
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.)
7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 1
8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET
9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 2
11. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
13. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
