Remote Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable prevent the airbag working.

2. REMOVE NO.2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
3. REMOVE NO.3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
4. REMOVE STEERING PAD




5. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the screw.
c. Disengage the 2 claws and the pin.
d. Remove the steering pad switch LH.




6. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH RH
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the screw.
c. Disengage the 2 claws and the pin.
d. Remove the steering pad switch RH.

INSTALLATION




1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
a. Engage the 2 claws and the pin.
b. Install the steering pad switch LH with the screw.
c. Connect the connector.




2. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH RH
a. Engage the 2 claws and the pin.
b. Install the steering pad switch RH with the screw.
c. Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL STEERING PAD
4. INSTALL NO.3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
5. INSTALL NO.2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

8. INSPECT STEERING PAD.
9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
