Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair

AIR COOLED OIL COOLER

Components:






REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
2. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
a. Remove a drain plug and the gasket, and drain ATF.
b. Install the new gasket and drain plug.
Torque: 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft. lbs.)





3. REMOVE OIL W/ HOSE COOLER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.
b. Remove the bolt, nut and the oil w/ hose cooler assembly.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL OIL W/ HOSE COOLER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the oil w/ hose cooler assembly with the bolt and the nut.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 inch lbs.)

HINT: After temporarily tightening the bolt, fully tighten in order of the nut, bolt.

b. Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses.
2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
3. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
4. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
