TSB REVISION NOTICE:
- October 20, 2005: The Front Brake Shim Kit part number has been updated in the "Parts Information" section.
The previous TSB should be discarded.

INTRODUCTION:






The front brake rotors have been changed to help reduce a high pitch brake squeal during light brake application when brakes are cold.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2006 model year RX400h vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Confirm the front squeal condition during light brake application when the brakes are cold.
2. Inspect front brake pads and shims and replace, if needed.
3. Remove the front brake rotors following the instructions on ETAS: 2006 model year RX400h Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Disassembly.
4. Replace the front brake rotors following the instructions on ETAS: 2006 model year RX400h Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Reassembly, Installation.
5. Road test the vehicle.
