Headlamp Swivel ECU Assembly

HEADLAMP SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 bolts and hood control lever.

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE HEADLAMP SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and ECU.

7. INSTALL HEADLAMP SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY
a. Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.
b. Connect the connector.

8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
