FRONT BRAKE

REMOVAL

HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE: If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface of the vehicle, wash off and remove it completely.





3. REMOVE DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the union bolt and disconnect the front brake flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
(b) Remove the gasket from the front brake flexible hose.





(c) Hold the front disc brake cylinder slide pin and remove the 2 bolts and disc brake cylinder assembly.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the disc brake cylinder assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 34 N*m (350 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)
(b) Install a new gasket to the front brake flexible hose.





(c) Connect the front brake flexible hose with the union bolt to the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Torque: 29 N*m (300 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE: Install the front brake flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder assembly.

2. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID
3. BLEED BRAKE LINE
4. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
5. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
6. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKS
7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
