Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Active Control Engine Mount:





REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
9. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET FR

HINT: Securely support the automatic transaxle using a jack.




a. Disconnect the 2 connectors and clamp.




b. Remove the bolt and disconnect the earth cable.




c. Remove the 4 bolts and engine mounting bracket FR.

10. REMOVE ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT




a. Remove the 3 nuts and active control engine mount.




b. Remove the 2 nuts and acceleration sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT




a. Install the acceleration sensor with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (81 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)




b. Install the active control engine mount with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 52 N.m (530 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf)

2. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET FR




a. Install the engine mounting bracket FR with the 4 bolts.

Torque:
Automatic Transaxle Side 64 N.m (653 kgf.cm, 47 ft.lbf)
Active Engine Mounting Side 87 N.m (887 kgf.cm, 64 ft.lbf)




b. Connect the earth cable with the bolt.

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)




c. Connect the 2 connectors and clamp.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
7. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization procedure.

NOTE: Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
