System Outline

1. Line Pressure Optimal Control
Through the use of the solenoid valve SLT, the line pressure is optimally controlled in accordance with the engine torque information, as well as with the internal operating conditions of the torque converter and the transaxle. Accordingly, the line pressure can be controlled minutely in accordance with the engine output, traveling condition, and the ATF temperature, thus realizing smooth shift characteristics and optimizing the work load in the oil pump.

2. Clutch-to-Clutch Transmission Control
The fluid pressure of the clutch and that of the brake are controlled independently using the control valve in accordance with the output pressures of the linear solenoid valves, SL1, SL2, SL3 and SL4, which are controlled based on drive signals from the transmission control ECU.

By fully utilizing the fluid pressure circuit and the compact, large flow volume linear solenoid, the optimum fluid pressures and timings of the clutch and brake are controlled independently, based on the input/output shaft rotation speed, engine torque, etc. The transmission realizes not only single gearshift, but also multiple gearshifts, smoothly and with improved response.

3. Multi Mode Automatic Transmission
Multi mode automatic transmission have [S]-position is beside of [D]-position. If moving the selector lever "S" side, you can select shift range just link manual shifting.
