REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.





2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY





a. Detach the 4 claws and remove the lens from the courtesy light.





b. Detach the 2 claws and remove the courtesy light from the door trim panel.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY





a. Detach the 2 claws and trim lower cover.





b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Detach the 6 clips labeled B, and remove the trim together with the weatherstrip.
d. Detach the 4 clips labeled A to separate the weatherstrip.





e. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
f. Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.





5. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws and inside handle.





6. REMOVE INTERIOR NO. 1 ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Detach the 2 claws, disconnect the connector and then remove the light.





7. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and switch.





8. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER
a. Remove the screw.
b. Using a clip remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the trim cover.

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips and garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





10. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP INNER
a. Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward.





11. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU REAR
a. Remove the 2 screws and ECU.
b. Disconnect the connector.





12. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
a. Remove the clip.
b. Remove the service hole cover.

NOTICE: Remove the remaining tape on the door.





13. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 bolts, screw and division bar.

NOTICE: Be careful when removing the bolts and screw as the division bar may fall and become damaged.





14. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
a. Remove the quarter glass together with the quarter window glass weatherstrip in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
b. Remove the quarter window glass weatherstrip.

15. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
16. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Carefully pull the glass upward and out of the panel.

HINT: Insert the cushion inside the door panel to prevent the glass from being scratched.

17. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY
18. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING FRONT
19. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY





20. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and regulator.

HINT: Remove the window regulator through the service hole.

NOTICE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.





21. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using a T25 "torx" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.

NOTICE: Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.





22. REMOVE REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the 3 screws and door lock.

HINT: Remove the door lock through the service hole.

NOTICE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.





23. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.





24. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD REAR
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.





25. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
a. Using a T30 "torx" socket, loosen the screw and remove the outside handle cover.





26. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

NOTICE: If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the handle and become damaged.





27. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using a T30 "torx" socket, loosen the screw.
b. Slide the outside handle frame in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and remove it.

HINT: Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.

c. Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.





28. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the cover.
b. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.

HINT: Remove the door check through the service hole.

NOTICE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the door check may fall and become damaged.





29. REMOVE REAR DOOR WIRE
a. Disconnect the wire clips.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and door wire.

30. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
a. Using a clip remover, detach the clips and remove the weatherstrip.

HINT: If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.

31. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP
a. Remove the clip and weatherstrip.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.





1. INSTALL REAR DOOR WIRE
a. Install the 2 bolts and door wire.
b. Connect the wire clips.

2. INSTALL REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP
a. Install the clip and weatherstrip.

3. INSTALL REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
a. Attach the clips to install the weatherstrip.

HINT: If clips are damaged during installation, replace them.





4. INSTALL REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
a. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the door check.
b. Install the door check to the door panel with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

c. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

Adhesive: Part No. 08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent

d. Install the door check to the body panel with the bolt.

Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf)

e. Install the cover.

5. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY





a. Install the open rod to the outside handle frame.
b. Slide the outside handle frame in the direction indicated by the allow in the illustration.
c. Using a T 30 "torx" socket, install the outside handle frame with the screw.

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)

NOTICE: A cover should be inserted between the nut and the door panel.





d. Connect the connector.





6. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD REAR
a. Attach the 2 claws and install pad.





7. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT
a. Attach the 2 claws and install pad.





8. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
a. Pushing the outside handle in the direction of the arrows as shown in the illustration, install the outside handle.

NOTICE: If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when installing the outside handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the outside handle and it will damage the release plate.

b. With Smart access system: Connect the connector.





9. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
a. Using a T30 "torx" socket, install the cover with the screw.

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)





10. INSTALL REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Apply adhesive to the threads of the 3 screws.

Adhesive: Part No. 08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent.

b. Using a T30 "torx" wrench, install the door lock with the 4 screws.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)

c. Connect the door lock connector.





11. INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
a. Apply MP grease to sliding and rotating areas of the regulator motor.
b. Using a T25 "torx" driver, install the motor with the 3 screws.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)





12. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the window regulator.
b. Install the regulator with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 11.0 N.m (115 kgf.cm, 8 in.lbf)

c. Connect the connector.

NOTICE: Be careful not to drop the window regulator as it may become damaged.

13. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY
14. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING FRONT
15. INSTALL REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY





16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
a. Remove the glass run.

17. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTICE: Be careful not to drop and deform the rear door window regulator.

a. Install the rear door glass into the door panel.

HINT:
- Insert a cloth inside the door panel to prevent the door glass from being scratched.
- Position the door glass toward the front as much as possible.





18. INSTALL REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
a. Install the quarter glass together with the quarter window glass weatherstrip in the direction indicated by the allow in the illustration.
b. Install the quarter window glass weatherstrip.





19. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the division bar with the 2 bolts and screw.

20. INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER





a. Apply butyl tape to the door as shown in the illustration.
b. Install the service hole cover to the door panel.

HINT:
- When installing the service hole cover, pull out the links and connectors through the service hole cover.
- There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover.
- After attaching the service hole cover, check the sealing quality.





c. Install the 3 bolts with the armrest bracket.





21. INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU REAR
a. Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.
b. Connect the connector.





22. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP INNER
a. Install the weatherstrip inner.





23. INSTALL REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
a. Install the garnish and 2 clips.

24. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY





a. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle.





b. Attach the 10 clips to install the trim panel.
c. Install the 2 screws.





d. Attach the 2 claws and install the trim lower cover.





25. INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Install the network switch with the 2 screws.
b. Connect the connector.





26. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the inside handle with the 4 screws.

27. INSTALL INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY NO. 1





a. Attach the 2 claws and connect the connector to install the light.





b. Attach the 4 claws and lens to the courtesy light.





28. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM COVER
a. Attach the 6 clips to install the trim cover.
b. Install the screw.





29. INSTALL REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 2 claws and courtesy light to the door trim panel.





30. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
a. Attach the 3 claws to install the bezel plug.

31. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

32. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. [1][2]Programming and Relearning

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

33. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check SRS warning light.
