Trunk / Liftgate: Adjustments
ADJUSTMENTHINT:
- Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE LOCK CONTROL CABLE PLATE
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
5. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
6. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH
7. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH
8. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
10. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR
a. Horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
b. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer.
c. Tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
11. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
13. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH
14. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH
15. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
18. INSTALL LUGGAGE LOCK CONTROL CABLE PLATE
19. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP
