ON-VEHICLE CLEANING

1. POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR DRIVER'S SEAT





a. Description
This system sends a signal from the driver's power seat control switch to the power seat control ECU when manual operation for seat position is performed.

HINT: There are no indicators to show when a signal has been transmitted or received.

b. Fail-safe function
When infrared data communication is blocked by an object placed under the seat, etc., or the driver's power seat control switch has an abnormality, the system enters fail-safe and only slide operation (rearward and forward) can be operated.

c. Clean the infrared signal reception and emission part.
If dirt or foreign matter contaminates the power seat control ECU or the part of the driver's power seat control switch that receives and sends infrared signals, signals will not be able to be sent or received. In this case, wipe the lens with a soft cloth.
