Compressor And Magnetic Clutch

REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
3. REMOVE No.1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE
7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
9. REMOVE No.2 AIR CLEANER INLET
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE No.1 AIR CLEANER INLET
12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
14. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
15. REMOVE FAN SHROUD
16. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
17. DISCONNECT No.1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE

a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No.1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
b. Remove the O-ring from the No.1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.

NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

18. DISCONNECT No.1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

a. Remove the nut and bolt, and disconnect the No.1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
b. Remove the O-ring from the No.1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

19. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH
a. Disconnect the connector.

b. Remove the 4 bolts, bracket and the compressor and magnetic clutch.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH

a. Temporarily tighten the compressor and magnetic clutch and bracket with the 4 bolts.

b. Fully tighten the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 25 N.m (250 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the order given in the illustration to install the compressor and magnetic clutch.

c. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL No.1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
a. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
b. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.

Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

c. Install the O-ring to the No.1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

d. Install the No.1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt and nut.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)

3. INSTALL No.1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE
a. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
b. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.

Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

c. Install the O-ring to the No.1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.

d. Install the No.1 cooler refrigerant suction hose to the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)

4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
5. INSTALL FAN SHROUD
6. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
9. INSTALL No.1 AIR CLEANER INLET
10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
11. INSTALL No.2 AIR CLEANER INLET
12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE
13. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
14. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
17. INSTALL No.1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
18. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)

19. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT

SST 07110-58060 (07117-58060, 07117-58070,
07117-58080, 07117-58090, 07117-78050,
07117-88060, 07117-88070, 07117-88080)

Specified amount: 550 to 650 g (19.4 to 22.9 oz.)

20. WARM UP ENGINE
21. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT LEAKAGE
