System OutlineDoor lock control (Lock and unlock) is performed by remote control, without the ignition key inserted in the door key cylinder, using low-power electrical waves emitted by a transmitter.
1. Normal Operation
- Lock operation
When the lock SW on the transmitter is pressed, all the doors are locked.
- Unlock operation
When the unlock SW on the transmitter is pressed once, only the driver door is unlocked. When the unlock SW is pressed again within 3 sec., all the doors are unlocked.
2. Visual Confirmation of Lock or Unlock
If all doors indicate that they are locked after the lock command, turn signal light will flash once. If any door indicates that it is open after the unlock command, turn signal light will flash twice.
3. Buzzer Sound Function
- If all doors indicate that they are locked after the lock command, the keyless buzzer goes on once. If any door indicates that it is open after the unlock command, the keyless buzzer goes on twice.
- When a transmitter is used to operate the back door for opening or closing, the buzzer sounds twice. (w/ power back door system)
- When a transmitter is used to operate the power window for opening or closing, the buzzer sounds once.
- Pressing the lock switch on the transmitter - when any of the doors is open - will trigger the buzzer to sound for 10 seconds. Closing the door that is open or pressing the unlock switch on the transmitter will instantly stop buzzer sound.
4. Illuminated Entry Function
When the body ECU detects the unlock state after the unlock operation has been made, it turns on the lights such as the ignition key cylinder light and interior light. If all the doors are locked during this operation, lighting is cancelled and the lights immediately fade out.
5. Automatic Lock Operation
With the ignition key not inserted into the ignition key cylinder and all the doors completely closed, after pushing the button (Transmitter) to unlock all the doors, if a door is not opened within 30 sec. all the doors will be automatically relocked.
6. Wireless Control Stop Function
If the following situations occur, wireless door lock function does not operate.
- Lock operation
Any door is open. (Door courtesy SW is on.)
When ignition key is inserted to ignition SW.
When ignition SW is on.
- Unlock operation
When ignition SW is on.
When ignition key is inserted to ignition SW.
7. Repeat Function
If the lock detection signal is response to the output signal is not received after the body ECU has output the lock signal, the lock signal is output again.
8. Power Back Door Control (w/ Power Back Door System)
Press the back door switch on the transmitter and hold it down for 1 second to operate the back door.
9. Power Window Control
- Open control
Press the unlock switch on the transmitter and hold it down for 2 or 3 seconds to get the window to start opening. Releasing the unlock switch will instantly halt window movement.
10. Moon Roof Control
- Open control
Press the unlock switch on the transmitter and hold it down for 2 or 3 seconds to get the moon roof to start opening. Releasing the unlock switch will instantly halt moon roof movement.
11. Panic Mode Function
When the panic switch on the transmitter is kept pressed for approximately 1.0 sec. or lock switch is kept pressed for approximately 2.5 sec., the door control receiver receives the signal and enters the panic mode. The theft alarm goes on upon receiving the signal, the body ECU, and the headlights and taillights flash through the communication of the body ECU. At this time, when any SW on the transmitter is pressed, the panic mode is cancelled, the theft alarm is stopped, and the headlights and taillights go off
