Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

Radio Receiver:

RADIO RECEIVER

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER
5. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER




a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disengage the 2 claws and the 2 clips.
c. Disconnect the connectors.
d. Remove the radio receiver with bracket.




e. Remove the 3 screws and the No.1 radio bracket.




f. Remove the 3 screws and the No.2 radio bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER




a. Install the No.2 radio bracket with the 3 bolts.




b. Install the No. 1 radio bracket with the 3 bolts.




c. Connect the connectors.
d. Engage the 2 claws and the 2 clips.
e. Install the radio receiver with bracket with the bolts.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER
3. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT
4. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from negative battery terminal.
