Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair
TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECUCOMPONENTS:
REMOVAL
NOTICE:
Before removing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the registered transmitter IDs of all wheels and write them down to use for re-registration of transmitter IDs.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
(a) Disengage the 6 claws and 4 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate RH.
(b) Disconnect the connector. (w/illumination scuff plate)
4. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Remove the screw and separate the tire pressure warning ECU.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the tire pressure warning ECU.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Connect the connector to the tire pressure warning ECU.
(b) Install the tire pressure warning ECU with the screw.
2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
(a) Connect the connector. (w/illumination scuff plate)
(b) engage the 6 claws and 4 clips, and install the front door scuff plate RH.
4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID
7. INITIALIZE SYSTEM
NOTICE:
^ Be sure to register the transmitter IDs of all tires including the full-size spare tire in the ECU before initialization.
^ Be sure to inflate all tires including the full-size spare tire to the proper inflation pressure before initialization.
8. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT:
Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
