2GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

5. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2WD)
7. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 4WD)
8. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 2WD)
9. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

10. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET (for 4WD) Removal

11. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Removal

12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE Removal

13. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) Removal

15. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Removal

16. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR






(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and sensor.
