DESCRIPTION

The rear multiplex network door ECU LH receives lock/unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor according to the signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the door lock motor operates.
Rear Multiplex Network Door ECU LH:

OK:
Door locks/unlocks.
NG -- INSPECT FUSE (RR DOOR LH)
OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH
2. INSPECT FUSE (RR DOOR LH)
(a) Remove the RR DOOR LH fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR DOOR ECU LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the O7 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door lock position switch.
Rear Multiplex Network Door ECU LH:

OK:
ON (rear door LH side door is unlocked) appears on screen.
NG -- INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)
OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH
6. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR DOOR ECU LH - REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect the O8 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O10 door lock connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH
