INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW UP/DOWN)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / RL-Door Motor / Active Test.
(d) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
RL-Door Motor
OK:
Rear LH power window operates normally.
CAUTION:
Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move.
During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR ECU (REAR LH SIDE) - REGULATOR MOTOR (REAR LH SIDE))
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR LH)
(a) Select the following menu items: Body / RL-Door Motor / Data List.
(b) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
RL-Door Motor
OK:
ON (switch operates) appears on screen.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDOW SWITCH (REAR LH SIDE) - DOOR ECU (REAR LH SIDE))
OK -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDOW SWITCH (REAR LH SIDE) - DOOR ECU (REAR LH SIDE))
(a) Disconnect the S5 power window switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the O7 rear door ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR ECU (REAR LH SIDE) - REGULATOR MOTOR (REAR LH SIDE))
(a) Disconnect the O9 motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDOW SWITCH (REAR LH) - REGULATOR MOTOR (REAR LH))
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH side)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH side)
OK -- REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
