1. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.

(a) Disconnect the F9 and F10 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





HINT: *1: for 9 speaker models
*2: for 12 speaker models

NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DEFECTIVE SPEAKER AND VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
(a) Check which side of the vehicle the defective speaker is on. Also, check if the vehicle is equipped with the LEXUS Link System.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAYDAY ECU - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER AND FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the S40 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the F10 speaker connector.
(c) Disconnect the M15 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER (OPERATION)
(a) After replacing the stereo component amplifier with a normal one, check that the audio sound can be heard from the front RH side speaker.
OK:
Audio sound can be heard.
NG -- REPLACE MAYDAY ECU
OK -- END (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER IS DEFECTIVE)
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the F9 and F10 speaker connectors.
(b) Disconnect the S40 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for LH
for RH










NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER
8. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER





(a) Disconnect the F13 and F14 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





HINT: *1: for 9 speaker models
*2: for 12 speaker models

NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the S41 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the F13 and F14 speaker connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for LH
for RH

10. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER





(a) Disconnect the F11 and F12 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER - STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the F11, F12, F13 and F14 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

for RH

12. INSPECT FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER





(a) Disconnect the C6 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.
13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the C6 speaker connector.
(b) Disconnect the S41 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER
14. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.

(a) Disconnect the S41 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the W6 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

19. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER





(a) Disconnect the R22 and R23 speaker connectors.

20. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the S43 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the R22 and R23 speaker connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

21. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER





(a) Disconnect the B8 and B9 speaker connectors.

22. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER)





(a) Disconnect the B8 and B9 speaker connectors.
(b) Disconnect the S41 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
