Installation

AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2UZ-FE):

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH






(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch and stay, compressor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 46 Nm (469 kgf-cm, 34 ft-lbf)
(b) Install the nut.
Torque: 24 Nm (245 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Cooler)
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the suction hose sub-assembly.






(d) Install the suction hose sub-assembly on the compressor and magnetic clutch with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE (w/ Rear Cooler)
4. INSTALL DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Cooler)
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to the new O-ring and fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install an O-ring on the discharge hose sub-assembly.






(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly on the compressor and magnetic clutch with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE NO. 1 (w/ Rear Cooler)
6. INSPECT V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection

7. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation

8. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

9. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

10. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT GAS LEAK Service and Repair
