DESCRIPTION

The Multiplex Network Body ECU controls TAIL relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Start the inspection from step 1 in the case of using the intelligent tester, and start from step 2 in the case of not using the intelligent tester.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TAIL LIGHT RELAY)
(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

OK:
Tail light relay condition is switched by Active Test.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT TAIL LIGHT RELAY





(a) Inspect relay continuity.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE TAIL LIGHT RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (TRLY)
(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Measure the voltage between terminal TRLY of the instrument panel J/B assembly (driver side J/B assembly) on the wire harness side and body ground.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
