Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Prepare Techstream.
(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3 at the lower part of the instrument panel.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn Techstream on.
(d) Use Techstream to check the DTCs and the freeze frame data, and note or print the result (See the operator's manual for operating instructions).
(e) Confirm the details of the DTCs Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column System.
2. CLEAR DTC
(a) The following procedures clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- When using Techstream:
Operate Techstream. (See the operator's manual for operating instructions).
- When not using Techstream:
Disconnect the battery terminals.
