Manual Up / Down Function does not Operate on Driver Side

DESCRIPTION

If the manual UP/DOWN function does not operate, the power window motor, the power window master switch or the wire harness may be abnormal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH
(a) Using the Techstream, check operation of the master switch using the Data List.
Standard:

Driver Door:





NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - POWER WINDOW MOTOR)





(a) Disconnect the D18 master switch connector.
(b) Remove the front door trim LH.
(c) Disconnect the P10 power window motor connector.
(d) Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:










(e) Reference:
Check operation of the power window motor (driver side).
(1) Remove the motor.
(2) Apply battery voltage to the connector between terminals 1 and 2.
(3) Check that the motor rotates smoothly.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the terminals except 1 and 2.

Standard:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (DRIVER SIDE)
3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR GROUND)





(a) Remove the master switch (the connector is connected).
(b) Check the continuity between terminal 2 and the body ground.
Standard:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR POWER SOURCE)





(a) Check the voltage between the terminals.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH
