Manual Up / Down Function does not Operate on Rear RH Only

DESCRIPTION

If the manual UP/DOWN function does not operate, the power window motor, the power window switch or the wire harness may be abnormal.

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (FOR GROUND)

(a) Remove the power window switch (the connector is connected).
(b) Check the continuity between terminal 7 and the body ground.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (FOR POWER SOURCE)

(a) Check the voltage between terminals 12 and 7.
Standard voltage:
10 to 14 V (Constant)
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - POWER SOURCE)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (FOR WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(b) Check the voltage between terminals 11 and 7 when operating the window lock switch on the master switch.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - POWER WINDOW MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the P9 power window switch connector.
(b) Remove the rear door trim RH.
(c) Disconnect the P13 power window motor connector.
(d) Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (REAR RH)

(a) Remove the motor.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the connector between terminals 1 and 2.
(c) Check that the motor rotates smoothly.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the terminals except 1 and 2.

Standard:

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (REAR RH)
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (REAR RH)
