C1920

SUSPENSION CONTROL: ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM: C1915: Rear PIG Power Supply Voltage

DTC C1915 - Rear PIG Power Supply Voltage

DTC C1920 - PIG Wire Harness Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

If the PIG power supply (46 V) of the rear active stabilizer control ECU is not detected or an abnormal voltage is detected, this DTC is output. The power steering converter supplies power to the front active stabilizer control actuator, rear active stabilizer control actuator and power steering system. As a result, a malfunction in the power steering system may be causing the PIG power supply (46 V) to be interrupted. During the initial check immediately after turning the power switch ON (READY), the rear active stabilizer control ECU checks the condition of the power steering converter. If a malfunction is detected during the initial check, DTC C1915 is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
(a) Check that the connectors of the rear active stabilizer control ECU, front active stabilizer control ECU and power steering converter are not loose or disconnected.
OK:
Connectors are not loose or disconnected
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU - POWER STEERING CONVERTER AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Disconnect the S67 rear ECU connector.
(c) Disconnect the A73 front ECU connector.
(d) Disconnect the S69 and g4 converter connectors.
(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FUSE (RR-IG1-1, D-IG1-3)
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Remove the RR-IG1-1 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(c) Remove the D-IG1-3 fuse from the main body ECU (driver side junction block).
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG VOLTAGE)
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Disconnect the S67 rear ECU connector.
(c) Disconnect the A73 front ECU connector.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK DTC (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (READY) and the tester ON.
(d) Check if power steering system DTC C1568 is output Power Steering System.

Result

B -- READ VALUE USING DATA LIST (DC/DC STATUS)
A -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING CONVERTER - POWER STEERING ECU)
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Disconnect the g4 converter connector.

(c) Disconnect the A44 power steering ECU connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. READ VALUE USING DATA LIST (DC/DC STATUS)
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (READY) and the tester ON.
(d) Follow the tester screen display and display the rear active stabilizer DATA LIST screen. Select the "DC/DC STATUS" or "DC/DC Status" item and check the output condition of terminal WDD3.

Result

B -- INTERCHANGE FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
8. INTERCHANGE FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Interchange the rear active stabilizer control ECU with the front active stabilizer control ECU, and install them securely.
HINT:
- Interchange the front and rear active stabilizer control ECUs and check for DTCs. After interchanging the ECUs, if a front stabilizer DTC is displayed, it can be determined that the rear active stabilizer control ECU is malfunctioning. If no DTC is output, the power steering converter is malfunctioning.
- For the ECU removal and installation procedures, refer to the front ECU procedures Removal or the rear ECU procedures Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.
9. CLEAR DTC
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the tester ON.
(d) Clear the DTC Active Stabilizer Suspension System.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK OPERATION OF REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (READY) and wait 30 seconds or more. Then check for front stabilizer DTCs Active Stabilizer Suspension System.
OK:
DTC C193C is not output
NG -- REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
- Interchange the front and rear active stabilizer control ECUs and check the "DC/DC STATUS" or "DC/DC Status" item in the Data List. If 30 ms is displayed, the rear active stabilizer control ECU is malfunctioning. If the display does not change, the power steering converter is malfunctioning.
- For the ECU removal and installation procedures, refer to the front ECU procedures Removal or the rear ECU procedures Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.
