Removal









PRE-COLLISION: SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

4. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU





(a) Disconnect the connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and seat belt control ECU together with the certification ECU.






(c) Remove the bolt and seat belt control ECU from the certification ECU.
