Dimmer Signal Circuit
AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM: Dimmer Signal Circuit
Dimmer Signal Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The body ECU sends a panel illumination signal to the radio receiver through this circuit.
The body ECU determines the ambient brightness based on the light level detected by the automatic light control sensor and performs dim control.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the radio receiver connector R4 and body ECU connector B5.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER
(a) Connect the body ECU connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Turn the light control switch to the TAIL or HEAD position.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
