Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the tire pressure decreases, the ECU sends a signal to the combination meter assembly through the BEAN, and it illuminate the tire pressure warning light on the combination meter assembly.
The tire pressure warning light also comes on when the signal for the tire pressure warning light is cut off.
HINT: Refer to the "TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR CHART" section of "DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM" for checking the condition of the tire pressure warning light Diagnosis System.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIAGNOSTIC CODE OUTPUT
(a) Check if the DTC is output in the multiplex communication system .
Result:






B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT)
(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.
(c) Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the intelligent tester.
(d) Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the tester.

The warning light comes on when operating the tester.
