U151F AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the socket of the transmission control cable assembly to the shift lever assembly.
(b) Connect the control cable end to the shift lever assembly.
(c) Push the stopper cap to the socket as shown in the illustration.
(d) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable assembly clockwise and install the stopper cap.
NOTICE:
- To prevent torsion of the inner cable, the end with protrusion should face up.
- Push the cable end to the bottom of the pin.
- Confirm that the connection between the socket and the shift lock control unit is fixed.





(e) Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 4.9 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 in-lbf)






(f) Install the transmission control cable bracket No. 2 with the bolt.
Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)






(g) Temporarily install the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.






(h) Connect the transmission control cable assembly with a new clip to the bracket.

9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER

10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER

11. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH

12. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH

13. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2

15. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER

18. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

20. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER

21. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT

22. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB
23. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
24. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 engine under cover)
25. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
26. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ engine under cover assembly)
27. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments

28. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments

29. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

30. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal Repair Instruction - Initialization
