REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ engine under cover assembly)
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 engine under cover)
5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB

6. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2

14. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

15. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH

16. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH

17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER

18. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER

19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER NO. 2

20. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX

21. REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER

22. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO. 1
23. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO. 1

24. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO. 2

25. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

26. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
(b) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.

(d) Remove the bolt and No. 2 transmission control cable bracket.

(e) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle.

(f) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable end from the shift lever assembly.
(g) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable assembly counterclockwise and remove the stopper cap.
(h) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.
