DESCRIPTION

The body ECU controls the illumination light as shown below.
1 Ignition key cylinder light
2 Scuff plate illumination
3 Front room light

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and press the intelligent tester main switch ON.
(c) Select the items below in the ACTIVE TEST and then check that the relay operates.

NG -- INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT
(a) Inspect ignition key cylinder light Testing and Inspection.
(b) Inspect scuff plate illumination Scuff Plate Light.
(c) Inspect front room light Front Room Light Assembly.
NG -- REPLACE INTERIOR LIGHT
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
