INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
(a) Remove the A/C amplifier with the connectors still connected.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- INSPECT REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE
(a) Remove the rear cooling unit expansion valve
(1) Check the air passage through the valve with and without the battery positive (+) voltage applied between terminals as shown in the table below.
Standard:
NG -- REPLACE REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER - BATTERY)
(a) Check for open and short circuit in the harness and the connector between the A/C amplifier and the body ground Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
