DTC 43 - ABS Control System Malfunction
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
DESCRIPTION
HINT:
- This DTC is memorized when the VSC system detects a malfunction in the ABS control system.
- When DTC 43 is memorized, it does not indicate a malfunction in the skid control ECU.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Calibration.
- A road test means accelerating, decelerating, and turning the vehicle safely.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC (FOR ABS CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Perform the road test.
(d) Check for the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Check for the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
B -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
