DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

1. DATA LIST
HINT: Using the Techstream Data List allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the Data List early in troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time.

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

2. ACTIVE TEST
HINT: Performing the Active Test using the Techstream allows components such as the relay, VSV and actuator to operate without removing parts. Performing the Active Test as the first step in troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time.
It is possible to display the Data List during the Active Test.

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Active Test.
(d) According to the display on the Techstream, preform the Active Test.
HINT: The ignition switch must be turned to the ON position to proceed with the Active Test using the Techstream.
