DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. DESCRIPTION
(a) Data of the system can be read from the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. Therefore, when the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the Techstream to check for a malfunction and repair it.
2. CHECK DLC3





(a) Check the DLC3.
(1) The ECU uses ISO15765-4 for communication. The terminal arrangement of the DLC3 complies with SAE J1962 and matches the ISO 15765-4 format.





NOTICE:
*: Before measuring the resistance, leave the vehicle as is for at least 1 minute and do not operate the ignition switch, any other switches or the doors.
HINT: If the display shows "a communication error message" after connecting the Techstream cable to the DLC3 and turning the ignition switch on, there is a problem either with the vehicle or the tester.

- If communication is normal when connecting the tester to another vehicle, inspect the DLC3 on the original vehicle.
- If communication is still not possible when connecting the tester to another vehicle, the problem is probably in the tester itself. Consult the Service Department listed in the tester's operator's manual.
