Removal








AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE Removal
7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal
13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER Removal
15. REMOVE FAN SHROUD Removal
16. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
17. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

18. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE





(a) Remove the nut and bolt, and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

19. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH
(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts, bracket and the compressor and magnetic clutch.
