Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the tire pressure decreases, the ECU sends a signal to the combination meter assembly through the BEAN, and it illuminate the tire pressure warning light on the combination meter assembly.
The tire pressure warning light also comes on when the signal for the tire pressure warning light is cut off.
HINT: Refer to the "TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR CHART" information of "DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM" for checking the condition of the tire pressure warning light Diagnosis System.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIAGNOSTIC CODE OUTPUT
(a) Check if the DTC is output in the multiplex communication system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:






B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the Techstream main switch on.
(c) Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light using the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.

OK:
The warning light turns on when operating the Techstream.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
