DESCRIPTION

HINT: "ENGINE" and "ECT" refer to the circuit that includes the ECM.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (ECM BRANCH WIRE)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(b) Disconnect the ECM connector (E6) from the ECM.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE ECM BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (+B, +B2, E1)
(a) Reconnect the ECM connector (E6) to the ECM.
(b) Disconnect the ECM connectors (E5) and (E7) from the ECM.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE ECM
