Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

without Navigation system:
When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the center airbag sensor assembly transmits front seat inner belt status to the center integration panel. If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened when the seat is occupied, the warning light on the center integration panel blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.
with Navigation system:
When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the center airbag sensor assembly transmits front seat inner belt status to the multi-display. If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened when the seat is occupied, the warning light on the multi-display blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".
Combination Meter:






OK:
Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by "Active Test".
NG -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. SYSTEM CHECK
(a) System check






B -- CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL
A -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY




(a) Disconnect the M5 connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTI-DISPLAY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)




(a) Disconnect the M5 and C9 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM
5. CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL




(a) Disconnect the C4 connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM
