Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column System
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Use the Techstream to check the DTCs and the freeze frame data, and note or print the result (See the operator's manual for operating instructions).
(f) Confirm the details of the DTCs Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column System.
2. CLEAR DTC
(a) The following procedures clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- When using the Techstream:
Operate the Techstream. (See the operator's manual for operating instructions).
- When not using the Techstream:
Disconnect the battery terminals.
