REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ engine under cover assembly)
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 engine under cover)
5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB Removal
6. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT Removal
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal
9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal
13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2 Removal
14. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH Removal
16. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH Removal
17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER Removal
18. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER Removal
19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER NO. 2 Removal
20. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX Removal
21. REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER Removal
22. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO. 1
23. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO. 1 Removal
24. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO. 2 Removal
25. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Removal
26. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
(b) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.

(d) Remove the bolt and No. 2 transmission control cable bracket.

(e) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle.

(f) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable end from the shift lever assembly.
(g) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable assembly counterclockwise and remove the stopper cap.
(h) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.
