B1266 - Short to B+ in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
B1267 - Short to GND in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
When a +B or body ground short circuit is detected on the instrument panel system communication bus (BEAN), the instrument panel system communication bus (BEAN) is disabled and a DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL)
(a) Disconnect the K12 integration control and panel connector.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(d) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL PANEL AND SWITCH
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Reconnect the K12 integration control and panel connector.
(b) Disconnect the K44 center airbag sensor connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the K12 integration control and panel connector.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
NG -- CHECK FOR DTC (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR DTC (A/C NO. 2 AMPLIFIER)
(a) Reconnect the K12 integration control and panel and K44 center airbag sensor connectors.
(b) Disconnect the K52 A/C No. 2 amplifier connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE A/C NO. 2 AMPLIFIER
NG -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (A/C NO. 2 AMPLIFIER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL)
(a) Disconnect the K12 integration control and panel connector.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (A/C NO. 2 AMPLIFIER - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (A/C NO. 2 AMPLIFIER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL)
6. CHECK FOR DTC (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU)
(a) Reconnect the K52 A/C No. 2 amplifier and K12 integration control and panel connectors.
(b) Disconnect the K45 tire pressure warning ECU connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK FOR DTC (COMBINATION METER)
(a) Reconnect the K45 tire pressure warning ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the K31 combination meter connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
NG -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU - COMBINATION METER AND CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the K45 tire pressure warning ECU connector.
(b) Reconnect the K44 center airbag sensor connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU - COMBINATION METER AND CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
NG -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK FOR DTC (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)
(a) Reconnect the K45 tire pressure warning ECU, K31 combination meter and K44 center airbag sensor connectors.
(b) Disconnect the A38 clearance warning ECU connector.
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(d) Clear the DTC.
(e) Check for DTCs.
OK:
DTCs B1266 and B1267 are not output.
OK -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU - INTEGRATION CONTROL PANEL, CLEARANCE WARNING ECU AND TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU)
(a) Disconnect the K66 network gateway ECU, K12 integration control and panel and K45 tire pressure warning ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GATEWAY ECU - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL, CLEARANCE WARNING ECU AND TIRE PRESSURE ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Reconnect the A38 clearance warning ECU, K12 integration control and panel and K45 tire pressure warning ECU connectors.
(b) Disconnect the K31 combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
