INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPERATION
(a) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and clearance sonar main switch ON. Check that the combination meter displays the system check operation graphic for approximately 2 seconds as it checks for an open circuit and a malfunction in the sensor. Also, check that the buzzer emits a sound for approximately 1 second.
OK:
System check graphic is displayed on combination meter for approximately 2 seconds and buzzer sound is emitted for approximately 1 second.
OK -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FUSE (LH-IG)
(a) Remove the LH-IG fuse from the junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A38 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
Standard resistance
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE
(a) Disconnect the A38 and K66 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
