INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE (MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION, BUS LINES FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.





Standard resistance:

2. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH)

(a) Disconnect the V37 CAN junction connector RR connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





OK -- CONNECT CONNECTOR

NG -- REPLACE CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR

5. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the K3 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)

(a) Disconnect the K7 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)

OK -- REPLACE CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH

8. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K3 CAN junction connector LH connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH)

(a) Disconnect the A54 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH)

OK -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

10. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the V37 CAN junction connector RR connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

11. CHECK CAN MAIN WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)

(a) Disconnect the K81 CAN junction connector RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)

OK -- REPLACE CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH

12. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH SIDE)

(a) Disconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





OK -- CONNECT CONNECTOR
NG -- Continue to next step.

13. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)

(a) Disconnect the K7 CAN junction connector LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.





Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

14. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.

(b) Reconnect the K7 CAN junction connector LH connector.

15. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the K4 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

16. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the K2 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

17. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - YAW RATE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the K6 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

18. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR LH - STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the K8 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

19. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the K3 CAN junction connector LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

20. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K4 CAN junction connector LH connector.

21. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (ECM)

(a) Disconnect the A53 ECM connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO ECM (CAN+, CAN-)

OK -- REPLACE ECM

22. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K2 CAN junction connector LH connector.

23. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the A15 skid control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO SKID CONTROL ECU (CANH, CANL)

OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU

24. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K6 CAN junction connector LH connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

25. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (YAW RATE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the K35 yaw rate sensor connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO YAW RATE SENSOR (CANH, CANL)

OK -- REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR

26. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K8 CAN junction connector LH connector.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

27. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the K19 steering angle sensor connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

OK -- REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

28. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the K3 CAN junction connector LH connector.

(a) Disconnect the A54 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

30. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Reconnect the V38 CAN junction connector RR connector.

(a) Disconnect the V37 CAN junction connector RR connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

(a) Disconnect the K79 CAN junction connector RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

35. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH - STEERING CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the K75 CAN junction connector RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

36. CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT (CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR RH - POWER STEERING ECU)

(a) Disconnect the K80 CAN junction connector RH connector.

(a) Disconnect the A23 power steering ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU

(a) Disconnect the K72 absorber control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

(a) Check the connections of each connector.

(b) Clear the DTC.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.
