B1206 - P/W Master Switch Communication Stop
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the multiplex network master switch assembly and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:
* Connect the Techstream to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
HINT
When DTC B1206 and B2325 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2325 first [1][2]B Code Charts.
PROCEDURE
1. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1206 is not output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)
(a) Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly Removal.
(b) Disconnect the K3 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the K3 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily replace the multiplex network master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
6. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1206 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
OK -- END (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
