B1243
DOOR LOCK: POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM: B1243: GSW Terminal Circuit Malfunction
B1243 - GSW Terminal Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
If the collision door lock release function does not operate normally, or an open or short in the GSW input circuit of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is detected, DTC B1243 is stored.
HINT
If DTC B1243 is stored, the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function, shift-linked automatic door lock function and collision door lock release function are prohibited.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* W/ Navigation System:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
(b) Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Removal.
(c) Disconnect the G1 center airbag sensor connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (GSW VOLTAGE)
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
(b) Disconnect the G1 center airbag sensor connector.
(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
