B15E8 - Harddisk Reading/Writing Malfunction(High Temperature)

DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when the temperature is higher than or below the operation range of the hard disk drive built into the display and navigation module display, and hard disk drive read/write errors occur more than a specified number of times.

HINT
The hard disk drive may not operate normally when the temperature is -20°C (-4°F) or less, or 65°C (149°F) or higher.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CABIN

(a) Move the vehicle to an area that is at room temperature and allow the cabin temperature to adjust to between -20°C (-4°F) and 65°C (149°F).

HINT
* The hard disk drive may not operate normally at very high or very low temperatures.
* Perform the DTC check at room temperature.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE HARD DISK DRIVE
