B2321 - Driver Side Door ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the front power window regulator motor assembly LH and main body ECU stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:
* Connect the Techstream to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* When the front power window regulator motor assembly LH is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the front power window regulator motor assembly LH must be initialized Initialization.
HINT
* When DTC B2321 and B2325 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2325 first [1][2]B Code Charts.
* When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first B1206.
PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2321 is not output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH)

(a) Disconnect the K3 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the K6 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the K6 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily replace the front power window regulator motor assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2321 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal

OK -- END (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH IS DEFECTIVE)
