C1A45 - Vehicle Speed Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU via the CAN communication line to control the lane departure alert system. When the driving support ECU receives information that there is a malfunction in the vehicle speed sensor, DTC C1A45 is stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Vehicle Stability Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more and operate the lane departure alert system.

(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC C1A45 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
